Where are you located?

I live in Northern Nevada in the Reno-Sparks area with my husband, our two little boys, and our dog, Copper. I work in Northern Nevada and travel back to Southern California periodically.

What’s your photography style?

My style is very light and bright with color that’s fairly true to life. My goal is to create timeless, classic images that allow you and your loved ones to glow. I simply want to showcase your beauty, your smiles, and your embraces without distracting from that with extensive editing. To preserve a classic and timeless feel, I keep my editing light with color corrections and mild touch-ups such as obvious blemishes or scratches (because we all know kids are bound to get a boo-boo right before your session.) I include a variety of posed shots as well as natural embraces and interactions. While we all love the photos where everyone is smiling at the camera, I also truly adore the photos of people being themselves. Maybe your son is pretending he’s a Dinosaur or you and your fiancé can’t stop laughing. It’s those genuine moments that I love the most. One of my favorite professional photos is my two boys looking at each other and screaming their heads off. Because that’s them. They are crazy! While I love having photos of their sweet smiles, I also love having photos that truly capture their essence. This is why I want to provide you with a balanced gallery that captures your smiles and your organic dynamics.

What time of day do you shoot?

While I can shoot any time of day, my absolute favorite time of day is the last hour to hour and a half of daylight. This is when the sun is low and the earth truly illuminates. Those golden, glowing photos are always taken at the end of the day. In home sessions are typically best in the middle of the day when it’s brightest out, but can vary depending on how the sunlight enters your home.

What does a branding session entail?

I will start by sending you a brief questionnaire so I can get to know you and your business. We’ll discuss your priorities and the desired outcomes of the branding shoot. Each branding client is unique and this will help me understand your expectations, where your brand is at, and where you want to go. Depending on the size and scope of your shoot, we will decide on a location or location(s) and we’ll spend a set amount of hours shooting fresh content!

Do wedding collections include an engagement session?

Yes, absolutely! This is the perfect way for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. You’ll also get more comfortable with me and how I work! I find this helps to ensure you and your fiancé are at ease on your wedding day because we’ve already had a practice run! It’s also just a lot of fun :)

Do you have a second shooter?

Yes, second shooters are available if you choose a wedding package with one..

How and when will I receive my images?

All of my clients receive their images through an online gallery. You will then download your images to your computer. I strongly encourage my clients to back up their images in multiple places to ensure they have them forever. Lifestyle, newborn, and engagement clients receive their gallery of images two to three weeks following their session. Wedding clients can expect their photos to be delivered within a six to eight week window depending on the time of year.

When and how do we book your services?

I typically book lifestyle sessions 1-3 months in advance, depending on the time of year. I typically book weddings anywhere from 6 months to 1 year in advance. In order to book, I require a signed digital contract and non-refundable retainer.
